What a challenge, literally

Here's my card for the Simply Create and Shabby Tea Room challenges. Gorgeous colours to play with, but had a bit of trouble with my mojo with this one for some reason. Amazing how you start with one idea and end up with something completely different! For the flowers, I die cut and then scrunched up and inked with Colorbox Ice Blue chalk ink. Anyways, I am quite happy with it now :)

Basic Grey 'Wholy Cow' flourish rub ons
Cosmo Cricket 'love' sticker from the 'Tiny Type' alphabet
American Crafts velvet ric rac
Pink Petticoat Sweet Flourishes paper
Bazzill Swiss dot 'Celtic Green'
Cream hessian

Homebaked embellishment...yum

Sadly not as tasty as cake, but nevermind ;)  Here's my card for the Daringcardmakers 'Homebaked' embellishment challenge and Lets Create 'Mums The Word' challenge. More fun with seam binding, this time I gathered it with some needle and thread. The rosette embellishment very easy to make - just cut four A4 strips of paper by 3.5cm width and fold around the punched out circle greeting. The flower is two punched scallop circles scrunched layered up with a circle and die cut organza flower, finished with a mulberry paper cherry blossom.

My recipe -

Basic Grey ribbon doilies
Wild Orchid crafts for pins, seam binding, and blue cherry blossom flower.
Papers from Pinkpetticoat's 'Spooky doodlies' digi kit and greeting from the 'Sweet Sentiments' kit.

And a close up.

The first challenge...

Here's my first blog challenge entry! Taken a while to get going with blog stuff but hopefully on the road now. I was asked to make a St. Patricks Day card and the Cardpatterns blog was an ideal sketch to play with.
